Alot of HDR photos do not look like a real photo but have poor blending of one region to another, so that the dark clouds, etc just look wrong. Yes, you can go for that look as an artistic effect, but this should not be the primary effect. It looks awful The point of HDR is to have an expanded range of photo. It works best if it looks natural, which is the hardest effect to do. You are better off blending as many pictures as is practical but possible (4 or 5 or more, not just 2)
